perMens: built by people, for people

The challenge

How do you bring two organizations, each with its own rich history and a mission to help the most vulnerable, together into one new family? This was the sensitive challenge following the merger of Volksbond and Streetcornerwork. It required patience and genuine care to connect the different cultures and build a shared belief in the future. The task was not just to merge, but to create a new, unified home.

Our journey together

You don't build a new home for its residents; you build it with them. In a series of science-based and playful sessions using our 23plusone emotive methodology, we invited everyone to the table—employees and participants (clients) alike. Trained ambassadors helped guide the conversations, human by human. Every voice was important, ensuring the new brand was not invented, but collectively discovered through a process of deep listening.

The transformation

The result is perMens, a brand that reflects the shared soul of the new organization. We watched as colleagues embraced the transformation, moving from resistance to advocacy. More than a name, perMens is the living proof of a successful cultural fusion. It is a promise of support and humanity now capturing a place in the hearts and streets of Amsterdam. This is where purpose meets performance.

Do you believe the key to successful transformation lies in connecting people? Let's connect and build your next better, together. Contact Kim Cramer or Alexander Koene to start the conversation.
