Power in the ground. Energy in the culture. | Van Vulpen

Van Vulpen connects wind farms and solar fields to the places people live. The human challenge was just as vital: grow a family-like culture that can scale without thinning out—and attract the next generation of pioneers.

The challenge: scaling without losing the soul

Driving past a construction site, you might only notice mud, machinery, and orange vests. But at Van Vulpen, a vital story unfolds beneath the surface: they build the infrastructure that connects wind farms and solar fields to our homes. As their workload expanded, a sharp challenge emerged. How do you scale a culture that feels like family without losing the soul that makes it so strong? The fear was that rapid growth would dilute the unique Van Vulpen energy.

Our journey together: future-proofing the culture

To anchor the culture, we started with the people who embody it every day. Through a series of playful and science-based workshops, teams surfaced the values that make Van Vulpen truly Van Vulpen. Using our 23plusone emotive methodology, we looked beyond abstract slogans.

We translated shared pride into visible behaviors and everyday choices, both on the construction site and in the office. "The journey with BR-ND People gave us the words for what we always felt but could never quite grasp," said one of the team members we worked with. By digging for the core together, the culture became tangible for everyone.

The transformation: where purpose meets performance

The result is far more than a one-off culture program; it has become a practical set of tools. The organization now speaks a shared language that helps them navigate growth with confidence. The goal is as simple as it is bold: to make the internal energy of the people just as powerful as the green energy they connect across the country.

By strengthening their cultural foundation, Van Vulpen is now easily attracting the next generation of pioneers. It is proof that a strong culture where people thrive is the absolute prerequisite for sustainable performance.

A note on structure

This story is intentionally lean. Van Vulpen’s work is direct, hands-on, and real, so the narrative stays close to the ground where the change happens.
